In the spirit of Radical Hospitality, our meal plan offers meals for diverse palates and dietary needs. Meals draw largely on low-carb recipes, using whole grain products and fresh local produce when possible. The goal is balanced meals that please the palette and the body drawing on many food traditions, especially those of Louisiana. What does the meal program include?
In order to plan appropriate meals, each group should report the following information ahead of time:
Available breakfast offerings will include items such as Bagels & Cream Cheese, Cold Cereal, Yogurt, Oatmeal, Eggs, Cheese, Toast, Juice, Milk & Soymilk, Tea & Coffee. Daily sack lunches to include:
Dinner is served by 6:30 pm unless otherwise arranged. Dinner clean up is responsibility of the volunteer group. Each week there will be at least one traditional New Orleans meal such as gumbo or etoufee, and the Sunday meal is the traditional New Orleans red beans and rice. |
